Lufthansa pilot strike continues today with long-haul cancellations

Though the Air France strike has ended, Vereinigung Cockpit, the pilot’s union for Lufthansa’s crew, will continue their strike today with disruptions to long-haul flights departing from Frankfurt hub on Sep. 30, Lufthansa announced in a statement today.

Despite the severe disruptions, more than 30 long-haul flights have been secured, and all Lufthansa flights to and from the Munich and Dusseldorf hubs, as well as all short-haul flights to and from Frankfurt will run as scheduled. Flights operated by Lufthansa Group airlines Austrian Airlines, Brussel Airlines, Germanwings, SWISS and Air Dolomiti will not be affected.

Rebookings may only be done on tickets issued on/before Sep. 29, and a new travel date must be on/before Dec. 31.
