Travel suppliers and buyers are coming to town! The 27th Annual Cancun Travel Mart Mexico Summit will be held from Oct. 13–15. More than 800 tourism professionals will flock to the Cancun Convention Center (and to the all-inclusive resorts), including tour and hotel operators from all across Mexico, buyers from international markets (like GOGO Vacations!) and travel media.

Calling all foodies! From Oct. 15-18, Holbox International Food Festival will serve up three days of gourmet dishes 26 miles north of Cancun. In its third year, this festival showcases Holbox’s inventive lobster dishes, such as lobster burgers and pizzas, as well Japanese fusion, Caribbean flavors and international cuisine.

Xplor Bravest Race La Isla is coming to Cancun Oct. 19. More than 3,000 athletes will compete for the title of “The Bravest” through 30 underground and jungle challenges. Five athletes will be chosen to star in a reality show “La Isla,” to be produced by TV Azteca in 2015. The Bravest Party with live bands, DJs, food and a Bravest Kid course for young warriors will entertain guests while the race is on.

The third annual Salón Náutico & Cancún Boat Show will take place on Oct. 23-24 and showcase Cancun’s fascinating nautical industry. It also provides a sneak peek for the latest gadgets and gizmos in the industry. Importers, distributors and manufacturers of all types of boats and water crafts will be on hand to discuss the state of the industry and its future.

From Oct. 31-Nov. 2, families remember their lost loves ones in the three-day celebration called The Day of the Dead.  For more than 3,000 years, family members have visited their loved ones’ graves, decorated the alters and shared a traditional meal, which includes many of the deceased’s favorites.
