Weddings galore at IBEROSTAR Hotels and Resorts

IBEROSTAR offers three lovely wedding packages at their Premium, Premium Gold, and Grand Collections—the Star Wedding, Silver Star Wedding, or the Gold Star Wedding. All packages include professional services of an on-site wedding specialist; minister, judge, or priest; witnesses (if required); setup of wedding venue; champagne toast after the ceremony; the bride’s fresh bouquet and the groom’s matching boutonniere.

“The Gold Star wedding package is the most popular package because it’s the most comprehensive package we offer,” explains Mariela Gomez, account manager for wedding and niche groups at IBEROSTAR Hotels and Resorts.

The Gold Star includes amenities for 20 people, such as traditional white frosting cake decorated with fresh flowers; a wedding dinner in a specialty restaurant; a romantic dinner for the wedding couple; a 30-minute couple’s massage, and more.

Notes Gomez, “We also offer a la carte weddings, and we have planning specialists at all our hotels to make wedding planning a breeze.”

That is extremely helpful with destination weddings. IBEROSTAR Hotels has hosted 120 rooms per night for weddings and up to 200 people. The largest ceremony they’ve hosted was an Indian wedding, featuring events that took place at different venues over several days.

Weddings generally choose different IBEROSTAR resorts than business conferences.

Expands Gomez, “For weddings, both the Premium and Premium Gold hotels have the highest demand because these groups usually include children and both hotel categories are great choices for families whether they are traveling on a budget or looking for an upscale vacation.”

Destination wedding brides and grooms seek sublime settings, and since IBEROSTAR resorts are located on the world’s best beaches, wedding dreams can be realized. IBEROSTAR Playa Mita, a $100 million dollar resort, opened in January 2014 on Mexico’s Pacific Coast and is the largest all-inclusive resort in the Riviera Nayarit region with 452 rooms and 7500 square feet of meeting space.

“Groups love having an all-inclusive option in this unique region,” raves Gomez.

Gomez also suggests IBEROSTAR Playa Paraiso, IBEROSTAR Rose Hall Beach & Spa Resort, and IBEROSTAR Bavaro.

“Each complex features all three hotel categories, so that guests can choose to stay at the property of preference based on their needs or budget, yet they will be staying at the same location so that they’ll be able to attend the group functions without having to go through long trips between venues.”

The properties also offer a variety of venues for both the wedding ceremony and for the reception, aside from the beach, including a Catholic chapel at IBEROSTAR Playa Paraiso.
