Bouma National Heritage Park
Protecting over 80 percent of Fiji’s island of Taveuni, Bouma National Heritage Park is home to the Bouma Falls, Fiji’s most famous waterfall. The 60 square mile park is home to three magnificent waterfalls in total, each with a natural swimming pool at the bottom, perfect for taking a dip. Tourists looking for a rush should gravitate towards the Waitavala Waterslide, a natural stream bed slide propelling visitors down 50 meters of wild fun. Some of the parks sights and attractions are over an hour walk in steep terrain at parts, but with handrails and lookout spots there are plenty of spots to rest and take in Fiji’s sights.

Koroyanitu National Heritage Park
Located on the main island of Fiji, Koroyanitu National Heritage Park is worth every visit. Six native Fijian villages inhabit the park maintaining the landscape and running its office. In the heart of the park is Castle Rock. Ambitious travelers who climb the top will be rewarded with one of Fiji’s most breathtaking sights, a panoramic view of the Mamanucas and Yasawas islands. Visitors looking for a more accessible section of the park should inquire about the trail through the terraced gardens at Tunutunu to the Navuratu village site.

Colo-i-Suva Forest Park
Set on the island of Suva, this quaint, approximately one square mile park, packs a big punch. There are over four miles of walking trails that will take you past natural pools and beautiful vistas. The parks raised location of 180 meters, provides a breeze-filled reprieve from Suva’s urbanized landscape. There are swimming areas, picnic tables for a nice lunch and plenty of lookout sights boasting magnificent views. The park is also home to a colorful array of bird life, with 14 species in total, ranging from scarlet robins to Fiji warblers.
