Marriott International opened the first Moxy Hotel, a three-star, economy hotel brand in Europe, earlier this month in Milan. The new brand caters directly to millennial travelers with chic, complimentary style with a tech savvy design.

Each Moxy Hotel room sports sound-reducing walls, a 42” LCD flat screen television, free WiFi, relaxing bedding, power showers, and large mirrors. With a simple décor, rooms have glass shelves and open closets.  Hotel itself is supposed to  welcome, energize, and excite a new age of travelers.

“Moxy is the essence of the next generational traveler, not Gen X and Y but guests with a younger sensibility, from whom contemporary style is paramount,” said Tina Edmundson, global brand officer for Marriott International’s luxury and lifestyle brands, in Market Watch.

Stylish and edgy, the Moxy hopes to lure young travelers from all over Europe with more than 11 hotels to open by the end of 2016 in Germany, Norway, Scotland, and London.
