The Lost City has been found in paradise!

The Lost City has been found in paradise, as Paradise Found heads down to the Bahamas to explore Atlantis, Paradise Island.

Royal Towers, Atlantis

The majestic towers of Atlantis rise high into the Bahamas, welcoming guests to paradise.

For all explorers, searching for the Lost City

One of the best-selling points of Atlantis is that it’s reachable by direct flights from most major U.S. cities, and with five towers, all guests, from budget travelers to luxury lovers, can find paradise here.

Coral Towers, Marina

The Coral Towers are near the action–the water park, Aquaventure.

Cristian Sariego, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Cove Atlantis and the Reef Atlantis, explains that the Coral and Beach Towers are the budget-friendly accommodations, but they are also areas of the resorts.

“In the middle of the Coral and Beach Towers is the waterpark,” Sariego says, “so if you want the action, it’s right there.”

The Cove has gorgeous views, and from every suite, guests can see the ocean.

“You cannot go wrong with the view,” Sariego notes.

The Reef is the residential accommodations with kitchens in every room, and for an added perk, the Reef has its own pool and private beach.

Atlantis is not an all-inclusive property, but it does offer a variety of meal plans, allowing every explorer to enjoy the numerous dining options.

Fun in the Lost City

One of the best attractions at Atlantis is Dolphin Cay, featuring 14 acres of water fun where guests of all ages can interact with the dolphins, creating unforgettable memories.

“We have a lot of animal life,” says Greg Charbeneau, executive director of Dolphin Cay. ”We have 45 dolphins. We also have three macaws and a cinnamon bird, and they are just charismatic animals that our guests get to interactive with on a daily basis.”

Interact with these lovely marine creatures at Dolphin Cay!

Dolphin Cay has three major lagoons, where the dolphin interactions take place. Guests spend 30 minutes in the water where they meet the dolphins, touch them, feed them, and other fun activities.

“It looks like the dolphins are very friendly and happy,” says Paradise Found host Ashley Colburn. “They must have a very good life here.”

Emphasizes Charbeneau, “They do!”

Guests can also explore Atlantis! Located in the Royal Towers deep below the sea are sunken ruins and artifacts. The 2.7 million galloon marine exhibit welcomes guests to swim alongside sleek sharks, spotted rays, and brilliantly colored tropical fish.

Zephaniah Rolle, guide, explains that the ruins house the largest aquarium on property. “This is actually a recreation of the sudden city streets of Atlantis,” Rolle says. “They say it existed over 11,000 years ago.”

“And looked just like this?” Colburn asks with a smile.

Rolle laughs, “Just like this.”

One of the biggest perks while staying at Atlantis is complimentary admission into Aquaventure, a non-stop aquatic thrill with pools, rides, and slides, including a mile-long river ride, complete with rolling rapids and wave surges.

The Marina Village

A great place to linger and leisure, the Marina is one of Colburn’s favorite places at Atlantis.

“Strolling through the marina is a great way to check out the boats and colorful Bohemian buildings, and of course, do one of my favorite things, shop!” says Colburn.

Despite having many American favorites, like Jonny Rockets, Carmine’s, and Jamba Juice, the Marina village is a great place to experience the island’s unique culture.

“It’s a culture of warmth; it’s a culture of welcoming,” explains Ed Fields, Public Affairs. “When [guests] come here, they are coming for the experience, and part of that experience is our culture.”

Atlantis for Kids, Atlantis for Adults

Atlantis offers incredible features for kids and adults. Kids, three to 12, can enjoy the Atlantis Kids Adventure with its unique games, arts and crafts, and water activities. There is even a kid-friendly kitchen where children can make brownies, cupcakes, and fruit sushi.

“This is definitely the coolest kid’s club in the Caribbean,” Colburn says. “I think I want to be a kid again!”

Teens, ages 13 to 17, have Crush, the ultimate teen nightclub in the Caribbean with a gaming room, private gaming cabanas, Internet, live DJs, and live music.

Parents can enjoy the Mandara Spa, a full-service, 30,000-square foot spa with 32 private treatment rooms, two couple’s villas, and two couple’s spa suites. In addition to warm and cold plunge pools, steam and sauna rooms, and a unisex relaxation lounge, the spa also boasts a 15,000-square-foot fitness center with yoga and Pilates classes.

Of course, adults can also enjoy the Caribbean’s largest casino with 75 gaming tables and 750 slots machines, and for those picky palates, Atlantis offers the sophisticated taste of Todd English’s Olives, Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill, and Casa D’Angelo.
