Delta’s partnership with a successful pet travel company means that the airline is putting the issue of animal safety front and center, raising the bar on what’s expected of an airline’s animal safety methods. Their partnership is with the innovative start-up CarePod, launching Delta into a new era of air travel with your pets in mind.

As reported by Travel Pulse, CarePod – a company literally all about making pet air travel safer – will bring a new level of awareness, focus, and demand to transporting pets in as safe an in-flight environment as possible.

This increase in safety standards is not just limited to the partnership with a company solely focused on keeping pets safe; Delta has also recently hired a staff veterinarian on the Delta Cargo team to oversee policies, as well as employing specially trained ground handlers focused on keeping animals safe during their journeys, including temperature-controlled holding areas and other strategic ways to make your pets’ trip as comfortable as possible.
