After Hurricane Odile slammed into the Los Cabos as a Category Three, much of the area is in catastrophic disarray. Below is what you need to know about Los Cabos, the resorts, and guest relations. Check back here regularly for updates as the situation develops.
Updates on conditions as of March 20 are follows:
– Capella Pedregal no longer exists as the property is under a new management company.
– Dreams Los Cabos is scheduled to reopen July 1, 2015.
– The Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort will reopen July 1.
– Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos is now open but is working on minor updates.
– Playa Resorts – Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos – will reopen July 15.
– Las Ventanas will reopen on May 31.
– Melia Cabo Real will be rebranded as a Paradisus Resort and will reopen Dec. 1, 2015; ME Cabo will reopen Nov. 1, 2015.
– One & Only Palmilla will reopen April 20.
– Secrets Marquis is closed and is no longer part of AM Resorts.
– Westin Los Cabos will reopen Sept. 30, 2015.
– Zoetry Casa del Mar is closed until further notice.

Airport Operation
· Terminal 2 is now fully operational
· All the platforms and parking positions are in perfect conditions
· 10 boarding gates, 6 remote, 4 jet bridges in operation
· 40 check-in counters ( up to 60 counters capacity) are in operation
· 6 working apron buses
– Flights scheduled to resume:
– DL from ATL will resume Oct 8
– DL from SLC will resume Oct. 9
– UA from SFO/IAH will resume Oct. 9
– WN from BNA will resume Oct. 10
– VX from SFO will resume Oct. 25
– Carnival Miracle was among the first cruise ships to call at Cabo San Lucas and was filled with relief supplies from Carnival for locals, according to a statement by Carnival.
– More than 3,000 workers from the national power utility company, have been sent to the area,
– Cruise ship terminal and the marina area are both undamaged.
– Bisbee, the annual sports fishing tournament, will be held as scheduled the third week of October, and the Baja International Film Festival at Los Cabos is still scheduled for Nov. 11-15.
– Los Cabos International Airport will reopen to some commercial flights as early as October 9 and will be fully functional by November 25, according to Travel Pulse.
– American Airlines has cancelled its flight to Los Cabos International Airport through October 17, according to a statement issued via email.
– Official statement from the Mexican government has been issued to tourists and travelers here.
– Government officials have begun flying tourists home from the airport via commercial and government aircraft. All tourists are scheduled to be evacuated from the region by Saturday, September 20. They are being taken to Tijuana, Mazatlan, Guadalajara, and Mexico City where they will be able to get connecting flights to their original destinations, Travel Weekly reports.
– Olympus Tours are also reporting that the national guard and police has taken full charge of the logistics for the evacuation. Only National Guard personnel, police, and hotel staffers are allowed into the hotels. The priority boarding criteria for evacuation are as follows: families with children, elderly and medical condition people. The airport will not be completely cleaned for two more weeks, and there is no advisement as to when it will reopen for regular business. Both domestic and international gates were completely destroyed. The third gate, which is used for charters and Alaska Airlines’ flights, sustained damage as well. Electricity and water services are expected to be reinstated for emergency works by Saturday. This will include hospitals, shelters and emergency offices only.
– President Enrique Pena Nieto has visited the area and will instruct on an action plan to recover the destination.

My apologies. I received an update from my product team, who informed me that the hotel will actually be reopening as Paradisus Cabo Real in November 2016. At this moment, I do not have any photos.
